“ A group of us we're there on Friday the 16th of may for dinner, absolutely amazing food we all had different thing's and can't complain. Staff were very friendly and I would highly recommend going there to anyone passing through or staying for the weekend. Will definitely be back. to all the staff. ”
“ Angel cut breaded haddock with all the trimmings , American style chicken burger with the works and amazing deserts, all while sat in the beer garden in stunning sunshine . If carlesberg did great meals , service and ambiance it would be at the #old station restaurant . Thanks to head chef Jason, patisserie chef lilly and great service from top waitress Shannon. Great meal , 10/10. ”
“ Delicious home cooked meals. We dined here on 2 nights whilst on holiday. High quality food, quick and efficient service. Lively ambience. ”
“ You'll read reviews about slow service and crowding. The reason for that is the food. It's fantastic, so the place is rammed. If you like a beef pie, I challenge you to find a better one. If you like cheesecake, get the Orkney fudge one. Yummy. ”
“ We arrived at Tirindrish house around 4:30ish. When chatting with Lucy she asked if we had dinner reservations and this was one of the places she recommended while suggesting we call soon as restaurants book quickly. We called and we were able to squeeze in at 5:30. I had the sweet potato tart and it was delicious. My partner had the steak and ale pie and really enjoyed it. Service was friendly, very relaxing atmosphere, and the place was getting quite busy by time we left. We enjoyed it so much I promptly told my daughter about it as she and her husband would be there in May. In fact just about now as I write this review. ”
“ My son and I enjoyed a wonderful Sunday dinner here for mother's day. The service was fantastic, the staff friendly and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious!!! The wine was wonderful. Parking is very limited however so there may be a walk to it but it's absolutely well worth it. 5* in every way. Highly recommend!! ”
“ First visit here. What a find!!! Food was superb, good size portions. Staff were brilliant, really friendly. If we lived nearer, we would visit every week. Bit far to travel from Derbyshire!!! ”
“ First visit since becoming a wheelchair user. The restaurant is fully accessible. The food here is excellent, hearty, mostly Scottish fayre. Very generous portions. Always fresh produce - the fish especially - and freshly cooked, hot to the table. Cooked to perfection, including the steak which I'd recommend, along with the Chicken Balmoral and Steak Pie. Good selection of drinks, including from the local Glen Spean brewery. The service is extremely friendly and our waitress was very chatty but not intrusively so on quite a quiet evening. She was very helpful with me being in a wheelchair. Pricing as would be expected for a restaurant at this level. The setting is lovely, being directly on one of the prettiest stations on the network in the old, now listed, station building. Quite nostalgic for someone who used to have piping lessons in the waiting room! All in all, a great traditional restaurant. ”
